Healing Herbs was founded by and is managed by internationally recognised authority on Bach flower remedies, Julian Barnard, and has been in continuous production of the full range of Dr. Bach’s 38 flower essences for over 30 years. Julian personally collects and extracts the flowers, and produces the original flower essence mother tinctures according to Bach’s original instructions, which are then further prepared by himself and his dedicated team at Healing Herbs.

Geography: Healing Herbs is situated on the border of England and Wales close to the Brecon Beacons National Park. With an abundance of natural spring water and clear westerly air streams, it is a natural and clean environment to make pure natural Bach flower essences.

Flower essence sources: Flowers are chosen when the plant or tree is in full bloom. Only healthy specimens of the true species which are growing naturally and without interference or hindrance are used. Plants growing near roads, power lines or any disruptive activity would not be used. Artificial or mechanical interference can affect the qualities of the flower essence.

Production Method: The original extractions are performed using one of Dr. Bach’s two prescribed extraction methods: the sun method or the boiling method, depending on which flower essence is being prepared. This is done using pure, local spring water.

The extracted Bach flower essences are then diluted and preserved in brandy to create the mother tincture. Healing Herbs uses the highest quality organic brandy from La Tour Vert in France for both the mother tincture and for the final bottled product.
